  HIGH THROUGHPUT SCREENING (HTS) SYSTEM
 
This facility has been established for in-vitro biological screening of chemical libraries using a battery of target/ cell based assays.
 Objectives
   
Adoption of screening models for HTS
In vitro screening of chemical libraries and natural products in target (enzyme/receptor) cell based assay
Identification of new structural prototypes for drug development
Research into development of new target-based screens
High throughtput screening system

Two collaborative programs with major pharmaceutical industries in the area of High throughput screening and Combichem have been initiated.
