Structural Genomics of Mycobacterium tuberculosis Proteins by NMR Spectroscopy

Our aim is to clone, express and isotopically label important protein drug targets of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, for determination of their structures by NMR spectroscopy, and use the structural information in subsequent high-throughput screening for drug development. Currently, I am directly supervising three graduate (Ph.D.) students. I am also involved in planning the NMR facility for protein structure determination at CDRI, Lucknow. We are also interested in studying the thermodynamic stability of protein and protein-ligand complexes using a variety of biophysical methods.
