Lucknow is the capital of the State of Uttar Pradesh and is well connected by train and air to major Indian cities viz. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad; Delhi by overnight train journey and 55 minutes flight.

Climatically Lucknow is more like Delhi and covers both extremes: summers touching 40-42°C (May-June) and winters 4°C (December-January). The climate during September-November is the best to visit Lucknow.
