· Immunobiology, chemotherapy and molecular biology of filarial parasites
- Development macrofilaricide from natural products
- Development of models and studies on host-parasite interactions in B. malayi mouse model
- Identification and molecular characterization of immunodominant antigens of filariids
- Evaluation of immunomodulatory activity in plant products and use of immunomodulators alone or as an adjunct to chemotherapy
- Role of endosymbiont bacteria Wolbachia in filarial host-parasite interactions.
- Effector cell function in imparting resistance to filarial infection.
