DR COELHO MEMORIAL  ORATION IN  EXPERIMENTAL MEDICINE  – 2008” OF THE ASSOCIATION OF PHYSICIANS OF INDIA –delivered on 1st February, 2009 during the Annual  conference of API APICON 2009 held in Delhi (NCR) from 29th  January to 2nd February , 2009 .  This included an honorarium  , a certificate  a medal and a citation.

MEMBERSHIP  OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES  (MNAMS) the most premier academic body of MEDICAL SCIENCES in INDIA -- elected in 2008 . The membership was bestowed during the ANNUAL CONFERENCE & CONVOCATION held at Univarsity of Jammu on 1st November, 2008

Awarded the  “CSIR TECHNOLOGY AWARD FOR  INNOVATION 2008” AS ‘TEAM CDRI’ MEMBER  ON 26TH September,2008  on the occasion of CSIR FOUNDATION DAY . Award given by SHRI KAPIL SIBAL  MINISTER OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY & DG CSIR  for “DISCOVERY OF GUGGULSTERONE AND DEVELOPMENT OF ANALOGUES WITH NOVEL MECHANISM OF ACTION AS HYPOLIPIDEMIC AGENT S”. The award included a Shield , a Citation certificate and a cheque of Rs 2 Lakhs  for ‘TEAM CDRI’ . 

Elected HONORARY SECRETARY GENERAL of the INDIAN SOCIETY OF HYPERTENSION for a period of four years 2004-2008
Appointed member of ADJUDICATING COMMITTEE for ORATION AWARDS of the INDIAN PHARMACOLOGICAL SOCIETY  2003 -2004.

Awarded the Prestigious “Mrs JAL R VAKIL LECTURESHIP IN  CARDIO- PULMONARY DISEASES – 2004” OF THE ASSOCIATION OF PHYSICIANS OF INDIA –delivered on 22nd January,2005 during the National conference of API held at Mumbai from 22nd to 25th January, 2005 . Awarded the Prestigious “K.G. NAIR ORATION  2003” of  INDIAN SOCIETY OF HYPERTENSION  , delivered on 13 February,2004 at the National conference  held at Surat from 13th to 15th February, 2004 . This included a gold medal, a certificate and a citation.
Awarded the Prestigious “SHAKUNTALA AMIRCHAND PRIZE ”  1996  in Cardiovascular Medicine” of the INDIAN COUNCIL OF MEDICAL RESEARCH (ICMR).  (Award given by Union Cabinet Health Minister Dr C.P. Thakur and Prof  N.K. Ganguly – Director General of ICMR on 6th October 2001 at Indian National Science Academy(INSA), New Delhi. The award included an honorarium a plaque, a  certificate and a citation .

Awarded "YOUNG SCIENTIST FROM DEVELOPING COUNTRY FELLOWSHIP" to attend CPT’92 World Conference of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Yokohama , JAPAN in July, 1992.( The Award included To and Fro Travel ticket , Waiver of Registration fee of 50,000 yen and free local hospitality )
